Health and Safety at Gale Contracting
Here at Gale Contracting we are committed to maintaining our excellent track record in health and safety. We have a comprehensive Health and Safety Manual, with underlying policies and procedures in place. This includes:
- Comprehensive hazard management;
- Detailed pre-harvest planning;
- Conducting safety ‘tailgate’ meetings, monthly safety meetings and new site meetings;
- Operational safety behavioural audits;
- An incident reporting and investigation process;
- A structured induction and training programme; and
- Drug testing and staff health monitoring.
Strong and Proactive Approach
We take a strong and proactive approach to Health and Safety in an effort to ensure that all crew members are safe on-site and all get home safely each night. This also provides great peace of mind for our clients.
Gale Contracting is committed to ongoing development of manuals, processes, supporting systems, and we have implemented a comprehensive training schedule for upskilling staff. We conduct regular audits and reviews to make sure we are always on top of our Health and Safety focus.
Innovation
We also believe in ongoing innovation around machines and systems to improve safety and efficiency. Communication with, and input from, our foremen and crews is one of the main drivers of this innovation. We have a number of projects underway at present to enhance our operations and safety still further.
